Club with 2 Barca players tops La Liga table – they also lead in goals scored

Girona have had a dream start to the La Liga campaign.

After beating Mallorca 5-3, the Catalan club now top the table with the most goals scored, 16. Barca have 13 and a game in hand, Real Madrid have 10.

Girona don't seem to be missing Oriol Romeu much. Their first-choice defensive midfielder, Yangel Herrera, is currently among the league's top scorers with 3. Attackers Savio and Artem Dovbyk are on fire too with 5 and 4 goal contributions respectively.

Two Barcelona players currently represent Girona – Eric Garcia and Pablo Torre. Both are on loan until the end of the season. Garcia is a starter these days, Torre an impact sub.

Last season, Girona finished 10th in La Liga.
