'Thank goodness': Napoli president savagely trolls Luis Enrique amid poor PSG start

"I called Luis Enrique [to offer him the manager job], and thank goodness he went to PSG," Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has told the media.

"Look at the results he is achieving," the 74-year-old added.

Wow, that's savage from the Italian.

PSG did endure a rough start to the campaign under Luis Enrique but if anything Rudi Garcia hasn't done a miracle job at Napoli either. The Serie A champions are only fifth and already considering sacking Garcia.

Luis Enrique's Paris Saint-Germain side have climbed to 3rd place in Ligue 1, being just 2 points behind Monaco at the top. However, they've only won 4 of their first 8 league games.

Perhaps De Laurentiis wasn't too pleased with how the Parisians played against Newcastle United in the Champions League. Luis Enrique's team were completely outplayed as the Magpies thrashed them 4-1.
