Why does Pablo Torre have just 116 minutes of action for Girona?

Pablo Torre joined Girona on a season-long loan in hopes of getting more game time compared to Barcelona last term. However, things are not going that well for the young midfielder.

The Spaniard has made seven appearances for Girona but all of them have been off the bench. He's accumulated just 116 minutes on the pitch across these seven games.

According to Diario Sport, Girona manager Michel is not particularly impressed with the midfielder. Just like Xavi, he realises that Torre is among the most talented youngsters in La Liga, but he needs to work a lot to fulfill his potential.

Both Xavi and Michel believe that Pablo does not do enough defensively. He also likes to take risks and it leads to frequent giveaways. He's also used to being the key player in the team, something that would work against him during his development in top-tier football.

Girona have enjoyed a brilliant start to the season, winning seven games, drawing one and losing only to Real Madrid. The Catalan club are currently second in the La Liga table, two points behind Madrid and one ahead of Barca.
