'Xavi doesn't talk much with players': Pablo Torre opens up on Barcelona spell

Pablo Torre broke into Barcelona's first team last season but decided to sign for Girona on a season-long loan this year.

"Did I get desperate at Barça? Not at all," the midfielder said in an interview with Marca.

"I knew it was a difficult scenario, you just have to look at the players in all parts of the field. I looked at them a lot and, despite not having many minutes, it was a good time for me.

"What did Xavi tell me? In general, he doesn't talk much with the players either. It is true that his brother and the team were very close. I know that both them and the delegate are aware of what Eric García and I are doing in Girona."

Torre made 13 appearances for the Catalans last season, scoring once. He's featured just seven times off the bench for the high-flying Girona so far this term.
