Guardiola: 'Iniesta was already a good footballer in mother's womb'

Andres Iniesta learned a lot at La Masia but his game was very natural, too. Pep Guardiola summed it up in one phrase in 2009.

When asked if Iniesta was a born footballer, Guardiola replied: "No, he was already a good player in his mother's womb."

Guardiola's admiration for Iniesta started on the day when he saw the 15-year-old starlet win the Nike Cup. According to the Guardian, Pep presented the shy teenager who scored the winning goal with his trophies and told him: "In a few years' time, I'll be watching you do the same from the stands."

Pep's prediction partly came true. He really was enjoying Iniesta's game in a few years but was doing that from the Barca dugout.
