Fermin reveals what Xavi told him minutes before he hit screamer against Real Madrid

"Xavi told me to show off my personality [against Real Madrid], to try to do things, to come up with a final pass," Fermin has told Diario Sport.

"There was way too little time for us to warm up, around six minutes, and they [the coaches] told me to enter the pitch. Xavi helped calm me down," the 20-year-old added.

Minutes after coming on in the pre-season Clasico, Fermin scored a stunner and provided Ferran Torres with an assist afterwards.

There is a chance the attacking midfielder will receive some game time in an official game against Real Madrid too. He has been quite impressive as an impact sub this season.
