In his latest interview with Lionel Messi in Miami, Zinedine Zidane showed him a picture but cameras didn't catch what was in it.
"I have something for you," Zidane said taking the picture. "Do you remember yesterday we were talking about something? Well, here I have it."
"Ah, look!" Leo responded with a broad smile on his face. What year was it then, 2007, 2008? I was 18 or 19 there. This one was taken over there, in Madrid, in the locker room."
"We were so young," Zidane went on. "You came from Barcelona, you remember? And took it with two from Madrid, with me and Raul."
Although the picture wasn't shown, there's enough context to understand what it was.
In December 2007, Adidas managed to get Lionel Messi, Raul and Zinedine Zidane for a photoshoot in Madrid for their "Impossible is Nothing" campaign. It happened just days before El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
It's not a secret that Zidane is a huge admirer of Messi's talent but on that day he probably expressed it publicly for the first time. "I love his football. I would always want him in my team," he told media after the photoshoot.
