It's not a time to trade blame as injury can happen to any player at any time, however, in Gavi's case, Spain could afford to rest him having already secured qualification for the Euros.
Early reports suggest that Gavi could be out for 7-9 months. That automatically rules him out for the rest of the season and for the Euros in 2024 as well.
