Ex-Barca boss Enrique names most influential player in the world, not Mbappe nor Messi

Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has coached some of the best players in the world, like Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez and Kylian Mbappe. But Enrique says the most influential player the world of football today is Ousmane Dembele.

"I keep insisting on my point: Ousmane Dembele is the most influential football player in the world. No doubts,” Enrique said.

“He [Dembele] doesn’t care about mistakes. He keeps going, he loves to try. He doesn’t listen to criticism… he always generates good things,” the PSG coach added.

Dembele recently scored his first goal for PSG in 16 matches last weekend. Although the Frenchman has five assists it's hard to see how influential he has been since the season started.

However, there's some truth in how good Dembele can be when he decides to play. He was key to Barca winning the title last season and is one of the most trickish players for defenders given his ambidextrous nature. Still, you won't pick Dembele ahead of Mbappe, Neymar or Messi, would you?
