'Leave him alone': What Simeone told ref after Xavi was shown a yellow

"Leave him [Xavi] alone, this guy won't shut his mouth," Diego Simeone told the referee who showed the Barca boss a yellow card, via Gol.

Both Simeone and Xavi were smiling when it happened.

Xavi has already collected his 15th yellow card as a Barca manager, also having one straight red in his collection. He often criticises some referee decisions right during games and gets punished straight away.

Late in the second half of Sunday's clash, Atletico got a few controversial calls in their favour which led to dangerous free kicks. Luckily, Barca managed to keep a clean sheet and win the game.
