Barcelona records lowest attendance of the season despite back-back wins at home

The empty seats at the Olympic Stadium, Barca's temporary home ground, were evident again in their win against Atletico Madrid on Sunday.

Despite the win against FC Porto on Wednesday, there were 15,500 empty seats for Barcelona's game against Atleti. Those absentees accounted for more than €2m in lost revenue for the match, per Mundo Deportivo.

Only 34,568 attended the Atleti game with fans excusing themselves from attending the match due to the freezing temperatures and late kick-off time.

Here's what Barca's home attendance looks like this season:

Barcelona have so far missed out on an average of 60,000 spectators per home game since moving to the Olympic Stadium while construction work continues on the Camp Nou.
