Joao Felix' celebration in Barca's win against Atletico Madrid is now being taken as a hint that he wants to join Real Madrid next summer, according to Cadena SER journalist Tomás Roncero.
"Joao Felix's dream has always been to play for Real Madrid. He told Jorge Mendes [his agent], 'leave me near the Bernabeu'. That's why he brought him to Atleti," Roncero says on the radio programme El Bar.
"The player has been waiting for Real Madrid, but Los Blancos has not called him yet, that's why he makes demands in his celebrations, to attract the attention of Real Madrid.
"He saw how Bellingham did that celebration when he scored in the Montjuic in El Clasico a few weeks ago and said 'I, like Bellingham, I want to celebrate like that in Montjuic.' It was a wink towards Florentino," Roncero added.
It's a crazy argument this pundit is making when the facts are put into perspective. Felix himself declared his love for Barcelona before the club went ahead to sign him on loan.
As for the celebration, the player came out to reveal he did it because of the difficult summer he endured at Atletico.
Nothing can be ruled out in football but it's hard to picture Felix heading to Real Madrid after kissing the Barca shirt this season. It's even harder when you consider that Los Blancos' obsession with Kylian Mbappe isn't over and they have Vinicius playing Felix's preferred left-wing.
