In the summer Barcelona loaned Eric Garcia and Pablo Torre to Girona for the rest of the season. But it's Garcia who has been cleared to play against his parent club this Sunday.
"Pablo Torre has a clause in his loan contract that does not allow us to play him vs Barcelona," Girona boss Michel told the media.
"However, as Eric was a last-minute move, they did not ask for the clause and he will be available," he added.
It means Barca could've stopped Garcia from competing against them if they had inserted the 'fear clause' in his contract. They probably were in such a hurry to get him out that they forgot to do that.
Today, Garcia is arguably Girona's best defender and would be poised to give Barca attackers a hard time.
Meanwhile, Pablo Torre hasn't been playing as regularly as he would've hoped. The midfielder has featured in 10 league games so far but he's yet to start a match.
