Iniesta poses in traditional Emirati dress: what does it mean?

Images of Andres Iniesta donning traditional Emirati clothes have emerged on social media. That's the way the Barca icon decided to mark the UAE National Day.

Andres was pictured wearing a kandura, a milk-white single-piece garment which is traditional everyday clothing of men in the Emirates. This type of clothes is also known as dishdasha.

Iniesta completed the look with a ghutra, traditional headwear.

Besides, the Spaniard posed in a bisht coat: a black robe with a gold border. Unlike a kandura, a bisht is worn on special occasions. In fact, it plays the same role as a black tuxedo in Western culture.
