Barcelona have been linked with a January move for Girona wonder midfielder Aleix Garcia.
Garcia has proven to be one of the main protagonists in Girona's shocking title challenge this season. The Spaniard has contributed three goals and four assists in his 18 games so far.
The 26-year-old has also come out to openly say he dreams of playing for Barcelona in the future.
If Barca were to pull this one off and sign Garcia next month, we can already imagine two formations that would certainly suit the midfielder.
Option 1
Xavi could use Garcia as an option in a midfield triumvirate as a replacement or rotation for Pedri or Gavi. Barca have predominantly used this system since Xavi became coach.
Option 2
Xavi could try something more innovative and adapt his team to the way Michel sets up his at Girona. In this case, we could see Barca lineup with a back-three featuring two wingbacks.
Garcia will slot in as part of a midfield quartet giving Barca a lot of solidity in that department.
