According to RAC1, Gavi's recovery injury is going better than initially expected.
The midfielder is well on track to recover fully by June. That would give him the chance to play in Euro 2024 if selected.
However, the Spanish Football Federation has agreed with Barca not to include Gavi in their squad for the Euros even if he's 100 per cent fit.
Gavi completely tore his ACL in November 2023 while playing a dead rubber game for Spain against Georgia. Initial diagnosis suggested the player would be out for a year.
The 19-year-old is now expected to be fit for preseason in July. It means by the time Gavi plays again he'll no longer be a teenager as his 20th birthday is in August 2024.
Gavi played 15 games for Barca before the injury. He scored two goals and registered one assist.
