After the 2-0 win against Real Sociedad in the Champions League last 16, Luis Enrique admitted the Basque side made things really tricky for his Paris Saint-Germain team, especially in the first half.
"We had to change everything, because they pressed us very high and kept the ball. We tried to press them, but they kept the ball and didn't allow us to do it... it was like a nightmare, we were starting to lose confidence and we couldn't play football the right way. Very difficult."
Imanol Alguacil's team had some great chances to open the scoring in the first 45 minutes but failed to hit the target. They looked really confident with their non-stop pressure and managed to control possession in some spells.
Luis Enrique made the right tweaks at the break and outplayed the opposition in the second half.
Alguacil has been among Barca's candidates to replace Xavi in the summer. He won the Copa del Rey in 2019/20 and finished in the top 4 last season.
