Former Barcelona star Thierry Henry had a lot of praise for Xavi in an interaction with the boss after the draw to Napoli.
Speaking in an interview on CBS Sports, the Frenchman said: “Hey Xavi, my friend. I don't care what people say. I'm impressed with your work at Barça.
“You won the league and you taught me a lot in football. Your brain, for me, is second to none. In terms of how you see the game, only Pep compares to you.”
At a time when Xavi is facing a lot of pressure and criticism, this bit from Titi comes as a breath of fresh air as the Spaniard finally gets praise for his contribution to football and Barca too.
Xavi is primed to leave the club at the end of the season, but will hope to at least do so with his head held high and with a trophy – as the Blaugrana are primed to move onto the Champions League quarter-finals by defeating Napoli in the second leg.
