Xavi hails ‘decisive’ Barca player who gives him peace of mind

Speaking about Jules Kounde, Xavi said: “I have total peace of mind when he plays. He is a decisive player and is guaranteed to defend very well."

Kounde is an important member of Xavi’s squad. However, the Frenchman continues to be linked with a summer exit.

Kounde is under contract until June 2027 but should be the subject of interest of top clubs in the summer.

Barcelona are well-stocked in the centre of defence following the emergence of academy product Pau Cubarsi, and they are open to the prospect of offloading some of their defenders.
