Indeed Xavi has never failed to get all three points when facing Atletico Madrid as a coach. Their meeting dates back to February 2022 when Xavi guided his team to a 4-2 win against Atleti.
With the win against Atleti on Sunday, Barca moved into second place in La Liga after Girona had dropped three points a day earlier.
This could be good news for the Blaugrana as Xavi could face Simeone once again if Barca and Atletico Madrid both qualify for the Champions League semi-final this season.
