TWO reasons why Vitor Roque hopes to get first home start in Barca v Las Palmas

Vitor Roque is hoping to be in Barcelona's starting XI when they face Las Palmas this weekend, according to Sport's Sergi Capdevila.

Roque would be banking his hopes on two main reasons.

1. The 19-year-old has been putting in a lot of effort in training having had time to work with Xavi during the international break.

2. Robert Lewandowski has been playing a lot of games lately and is said to have suffered muscle fatigue during the international break where he played two difficult matches for Poland. Thus, the big striker is expected to get some rest.

If Roque starts against Las Palmas it would be his first start in a home game for Barca since arriving in December.

Roque has only started one other Barca game when he featured against Celta Vigo. Barca won that away game 2-1.

The Brazilian has played 239 minutes for Barca this season, but they're spread across his 11 appearances mostly off the bench. Roque has found the net twice for Barca but everyone believes he hasn't really had enough time to show what he can do.
