"Joao Felix? He is playing for Barcelona and it's normal that he wants to stay there because he plays a leading role," Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo said.
"Barcelona wants him and loves him, and everyone is so happy. Besides, they will be lucky because Barcelona gets a magnificent and great player.
"Joao is a magnificent player," the Atleti boss continues. "He has adapted very well at Barcelona and continues to improve.
"We [at Atletico Madrid] wish him all the luck in the world. I don't know how much Atleti would get [if he's sold to Barca]. You have to ask those in economics about that, I am in sports," Cerezo concludes.
It looks like Atletico have conceded Felix to Barca for next season. The player will not return to Madrid when the season ends.
What remains to be seen is how much Barcelona will end up paying for the Portuguese. Some sources say Barca plans to sign him on another one-year loan deal with a mandatory buy option Whichever way they take, Felix is 90%+ a Barca player next season if everything goes to plan.
