Messi breaks one rare MLS record at 36

Lionel Messi is 36 years old and already the most accomplished active footballer on the planet, but Leo refuses to slow down.

Messi has started this season in the MLS like a house on fire. The Argentina legend has become the first player in MLS history to record five goals and five assists in his first five games of the season.

Messi has two more goals in the CONCACAF Championship taking his tally to seven goals and four assists in eight games this season.

It's worth noting that Messi has struggled with muscular injuries this season forcing him to miss five games, still he ranks among the top scorers in the MLS.

Messi is said to be cooling off in the Major League Soccer in America but even there he still manages to break and set records.
