PSG are counting on three factors to help them beat Barca in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash, according to Le Parisien.
1. The fact that Barca are not playing Camp Nou. The PSG dressing room believes that the Olympic Stadium is half the size of Camp Nou and not as intimidating. Thus, their 2700 visiting fans will be heard loudly on the night.
2. The fact PSG have won in Barcelona recently. Luis Enrique's team are banking on the memory of their 4-1 win against Barca in 2021. That win helped the Parisians knock Barca out in the round of 16 of the Champions League that year. They believe in recreating that bit of history.
3. Kylian Mbappe coming alive. The Parians say their talisman will be fired up in the second leg and prove impossible to stop. They remember his hat-trick at Camp Nou in 2021 which helped them beat Barca 4-1. Gerard Pique struggled badly to keep up with Mbappe in that game.
"I am convinced that Mbappe is going to have a great game in Barcelona,” former PSG midfielder Javier Pastore told Le Parisien.
"Kylian already did it before so he can do it again," Pastore added.
Barca won the first leg 3-2 putting them in a strong position to go through. Xavi's men only need to avoid defeat tomorrow to book their place in the semi-final.
