Javier Tebas faces suspension from La Liga presidency on Real Madrid request

La Liga president Javier Tebas is 'expected to be suspended' by the Spanish Sports Administrative Court, Relevo reports. The decision is expected to be made either this or next week.

This comes as a result of Real Madrid's complaint over Tebas. The complaint is about the CVC deal, which was supported by all football clubs in Spain with the exception of Madrid, Barca, Athletic and Ibiza.

Madrid argued that they were discriminated against by the CVC deal. They complained about not getting a say in the distribution of TV rights. Barcelona initially supported Madrid but stopped suing Tebas and La Liga in the end.

Earlier this month, Tebas said: "Florentino [Perez] has too much strength and influence, and it is not good for Spanish sports. I will defend myself. Madrid have wanted to remove me from the presidency for a long time."
