Experienced Barca midfielder Ilkay Gundogan believes like everyone else that Ronald Araujo's crazy decision in the first half was the root cause of Barca's humiliating defeat to PSG.
"We are very disappointed. We felt like we had control of the match before the red card," Gundogan told CBS.
"I don't know, in this time of moments, it's better to allow the striker to go 1v1 and make a shot, let our goalkeeper save us or even concede a goal.
"This is the Champions League. No matter the opponent, it's impossible to come back if one of your players gets sent off.
"The feeling is frustration. Everything was in our hands but we gave it away to PSG as easily as possible," Gundo added.
Barcelona had a two-goal lead and were in charge of the tie leading up to the red card shown to Araujo.
The Uruguayan sending-off seemed from a couple of bad decisions from him. First, he gave the ball away with a poor pass and then he tripped Barcola who was through on goal.
But Araujo wasn't the only one at Barca that made poor decisions against PSG. It was a night where anything that could've gone wrong, went wrong.
