Barca meet Dani Olmo's father — it's not about what you think

Barcelona sporting director Deco has met with the father of Leipzig forward Dani Olmo, Diario Sport reports.

The Spaniard has been perpetually linked with a return to Barcelona. He played for the Catalans at various youth levels, before leaving for Croatia aged 15. Now an established starter at Leipzig, the 25-year-old has a €60m release clause in his contract.

But the meeting was not about Dani at all. The forward's father also represents Barcelona Athletic defender Mikayil Faye. They discussed a potential increase in the centre-back's salary.

The Senegalese has made a few appearances on the bench of the first team over the past weeks and is expected to feature more prominently next season.

Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester United and Juventus have all been linked with a move for Faye.
