Barca miss out on €62.5m after PSG defeat: explained

Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona have missed out on €62.5m in prize money after getting knocked out of the Champions League.

That is not only the Champions League prize money. If the Catalans made it to the semi-finals, they would have received €12.5m.

But a bigger prize was getting to the 2025 Club World Cup. To qualify for the revamped 2025 edition, Blaugrana needed to get into the Champions League semi-finals this year.

Which, as we know, they didn't — and now they've missed out on €50m in prize money which will be given to teams that made it to the 2025 Club World Cup.
