Barcelona are going to have to pay Man City a formidable fee of €40m if they aspire to sign Joao Cancelo on a permanent basis.

Instead, they are only interested in potentially bringing him back on another loan deal. This is similar to what they have planned for Joao Felix.
Barca are interested in keeping working with Cancelo, and needs him to push for another loan deal. Fortunately, the Portuguese defender loves life at the club and is determined to stay.
This could potentially compel Man City to approve another loan to send him to the Blaugrana. Cancelo has made 38 appearances for Barca this season, scoring four goals and providing as many assists.
