Xavi Simons is gunning to make a return to Barcelona next season after a successful loan spell at RB Leipzig in the ongoing campaign.
As per Relevo’s Matteo Moretto, the Blaugrana’s hierarchy rates the Dutch winger very highly and would love to bring him aboard.
The club feels like Simons’ characteristics and the traits he’ll bring to the club can significantly help them next season. Xavi Hernandez is personally a big fan and wants to bring him in soon.
The possible signing of the Dutchman can result in Barca ending their plans to sign another winger like Nico Williams or Dani Olmo in the summer.
However, Simons’ potential arrival is unlikely to have an impact on Joao Felix’s future. For now, Barca are planning to bring back Felix on another loan from Atletico Madrid next season.
Similarly, they are likely to be able to afford only a loan move to sign Xavi Simons, who doesn’t want to spend the next season at PSG.
Xavi has been enjoying a brilliant 2023/24 season in which he’s scored nine goals and provided 15 assists across all competitions.
