Barcelona prepared to sell Vitor Roque permanently — price tag unveiled

Vitor Roque's departure from Barcelona is getting closer by the minute.

According to Javier Miguel of Diario AS, Barca are ready to permanently offload the player if they get an offer in the region of €40-45m.

Barca's ideal plan is to send Roque on loan elsewhere, but the player's agent insists on an outright sale.

The Blaugrana signed the young Brazilian in a deal worth €61m from Athletico Paranaense last summer. Barca must pay at least €30m of that fee in €5m instalments over the next six years.

On top of that, Barca are also mandated to pay €5m per season if Roque completes 50% of the games available during the campaign — that looks impossible already as Roque has barely featured in 10% of the available minutes since he officially joined Barca in December.

Offloading Roque for €40m will help Barca economically, but it remains to be seen which European club would be ready to pay such a fee for a player who warms the bench.
