For the second successive season, Raphinha has registered double figures in both goals and assists as a Barcelona player. The Brazilian has bagged 10 goals and 12 assists this season — he plundered those exact numbers after 50 games last season.
You'd expect those numbers from only the very elite players, and Raphinha is doing it.
Still, Raphinha continues to be linked with an exit from Barca in a move that would bring some much-required revenue for the club.
Barca fan Ivar says it would be madness to sell Raphinha as he'd be hard to replace.
"It would be very unfortunate to sell our most productive attacker. Few replacements can guarantee the same numbers," Ivar tweets.
But another Culer replied Ivar with a perfect alternative to Raphinha.
"Nico Williams has more goal contributions than Raphinha this season and he plays in a team that scores much less goals and is much worse in general. And also Nico offers much more than only G+A like Raphinha. So the answer is easy. Sell Raphinha and get 6 years younger right-footed proper LW Nico," Ketna tweets in reply.
Williams has 16 assists and seven goals this season. The Bilbao man has scored fewer goals than Raphinha but his G/A is one above Raphinha.
Barcelona would have to choose who to stick with in the end.
