'In my era, they'd put you on the market when you turned 30': Rivaldo names two players Barca should offload this summer

Barcelona legend Rivaldo didn't hold back when assessing the Catalans' squad ahead of the transfer window and sharing the changes he would make.

According to the Brazilian, Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong should leave the club this summer. In a candid conversation with Diario Sport, he explained:

“You know, Lewandowski is a great striker. But he is already old. And that’s an important factor. In my era, when you turned 30, the club would already be looking for ways to sell you and put you on the market.

"Nowadays they sign players who are 36, 37 years old..Barcelona need titles, they need a stronger team.

"It’s the same story with Frenkie. He’s been here for five years and..nothing happened.

"The club need to move on, bring in new players. I’m sure Barca can find someone of the same level – or maybe even better."
