As per Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish gaffer’s firing might have repercussions on Guido Rodriguez's transfer.
Romano stated on his YouTube channel: “Guido Rodriguez is waiting for Barcelona, but of course, the managerial situation will be important because Xavi approved his signing.”
This hints that Rodriguez’s potential arrival at Barca isn’t exactly ‘set in stone’ anymore. This is as Xavi personally pushed for his signing.
Barcelona might back out of the deal if Xavi is sacked and the future manager doesn't want the Argentine midfielder.
The 30-year-old midfielder has made 29 appearances for Betis this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist so far.
