Hansi Flick is poised to be named as the next Barcelona manager and take the helm from Xavi after the end of the 2023/24 season.
The German coach is likely to have an opinion on the future of quite a few players whose contracts are expiring soon.
But as per Fabrizio Romano, Flick is not expected to keep Marcos Alonso in his squad for the upcoming campaign.
The Spanish defender is still expected to leave Barca and become a free agent in July. He is, although, yet to agree a deal with any club.
Alonso has not held any negotiations with Atletico Madrid and is still trying to find his next destination after leaving Barca.
The left-back has only made eight appearances for the Blaugrana this season. He might make his final appearance for the club against Sevilla.
