'Talks will take place': Joshua Kimmich opens door to Bayern exit

"[My future?] It doesn't only depend on me, also on the club [Bayern]," Joshua Kimmich has told the media.

"The situation is clear for me. I still have one year of contract left. I focus on the Euros. After that, I'm sure there will be a discussion. Bayern is my first contact," the German added.

Kimmich remains a priority target for Barcelona. He is said to be personally wanted by Hansi Flick; however, the midfielder reportedly has rejected Barca's first offer.

The 29-year-old's current deal with Bayern expires in 2025, so he should be available at a relatively low cost this summer. Barca hope to sign him for around €35m.

The defensive midfielder, who also plays at right-back, scored two goals and delivered nine assists for Bayern this season.
