Newcastle United have entered the race to sign PSG striker Mauro Icardi in the winter transfer window, according to Calciomercato.
The Magpies can face stiff competition from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus – who are also interested in the Argentine forward.
Newcastle currently have Callum Wilson, Joelinton and Dwight Gayle as their forward option – and want to improve their forward line.
The Magpies will reportedly be able to spend as much as £200m in the winter transfer window after being taken over by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund.
