Only 13 squad players needed: Serie A set new rules amid Covid-19 surge

The Serie A has updated their rules on the criteria needed for games to go through after a Covid-19 surge in Italy has troubled teams.

Only 13 players who test negative for Covid-19 are enough for a team to be eligible to play a game.

Of course, at least one goalkeeper has to be included in the squad for games to take place.

These players have to be born within 31 December, 2003 – which means over the age of 18.

The Serie A league committee has also decided to give Inter Milan 3 points after their opponents Bologna failed to turn up for their game on Thursday.

Bologna will also be given a one-point deduction for failing to turn up because of Covid-19 issues.
