Gareth Bale is close to joining Championship side Cardiff City ahead of the 2022 World Cup, according to The Sun.
The 32-year-old will not be retiring from football now that Wales have qualified for the November–December 2022 tournament in Qatar.
Cardiff are said to be hoping that Bale will stay for at least one full campaign and help them to return to the Premier League for the first time since 2019.
Aaron Ramsey, who spent the second half of the 2021/22 season on loan at Rangers, could reportedly join Cardiff as well after his Juventus contract expires later this month.
