Cesc Fabregas has been unveiled as a new player for Serie B side Como.
The Spaniard has penned a two-year deal with the club until June 31, 2024 and joins them as a free agent.
Como CEO, Dennis Wise, is delighted with the acquisition and said: “I think it will be an excellent purchase. He has decided to marry this project for the next two years and we are very happy with this choice.
“I would like to thank his attorney Darren and his wife Daniela for convincing him to accept the Como proposal. He will become a shareholder of the company , he came here for that too.
“He will be here longer than expected , he wanted to join the club for our ambitions: to fix the stadium, open a new sports center and get to Serie A.”
Fabregas will now be intent on helping Como get promoted to the Serie A next season and play in Italy’s top division before the end of his career.
