Roy Keane takes a dig at Sir Alex Ferguson for attending his son’s wedding over Manchester derby

During a Manchester United vs Manchester City quiz on Gary Neville's show 'The Overlap,' Roy Keane made a sharp comment directed at Sir Alex Ferguson.

The quiz featured Keane as a guest, along with pundit Micah Richards and former City and England women's star Jill Scott. The teams were asked challenging questions about Manchester derbies in preparation for the FA Cup final clash between the two teams at Wembley on Saturday.

One question for Keane and Neville was to correctly recall the score of the first derby they played together in the 1995/1996 season. However, they got a bit confused and thought the game took place at Maine Road.

Neville even believed it was the match where David Beckham scored a winning free-kick, and he mentioned that Sir Alex Ferguson was absent from that game in 2000.

Scott was curious about Ferguson's absence, which prompted Keane, who was in top form throughout the quiz, to make a witty remark aimed at the Scottish manager.

"His son was getting married," Keane explained. "Obviously… because he always done what was right for Man United but he obviously went to his son’s wedding, yeah, erm…"

Keane and Ferguson's relationship is still strained because of how Keane left the club in 2005. It all started with a fiery interview on MUTV after a tough 4-1 loss against Middlesbrough. Since then, Keane has made it clear that he will never forgive his long-time manager
