Legendary Brazilian Kaka was taken by surprise during an interview when told about Leo Messi's transfer to Inter Miami.
Asked to comment on it, Kaka said: "Wow, thanks for the info!
"I heard a lot about his potential transfer to Saudi Arabia or a Barcelona comeback but he goes to MLS. I think it's a very important step for football in North America. I am a big fan of their infrastructure, of how they prepare things and make football profitable.
"I think Messi will have a big success there. It's a very competitive league, very difficult to defend the league title."
Messi, 35, joins one of the worst teams in MLS at the moment. However, David Beckham's franchise could still make play-offs and they really have to rely on Messi for that.
As for Kaka, he knows what MLS is like after he experienced it at Orlando City towards the end of his playing career.
