‘He’s just so silky’: Declan Rice names Liverpool player as his toughest opponent

In a recent interview on the Tubes and Ange Golf Life YouTube channel, Declan Rice shared his thoughts on some of the toughest opponents he has faced on the field. Among them, he named Thiago Alcantara.

Declan Rice, who is rumoured to be in line for a significant transfer this summer, acknowledged that Thiago is one of the trickiest players to go up against.

Rice said: "I played against Thiago for Liverpool last season. He’s just so silky. He just plays the game at his own pace. He was proper."

Declan Rice mentioned Eden Hazard, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, and Tanguy Ndombele as tough opponents. Rice praised Ndombele, who spent the season on loan at Napoli, for his challenging playing style: "This one will surprise you. He gets slammed and hammered a little bit."

"It’s going to take you back, but Ndombele, who was with Spurs. The perception of him, it shouldn’t be what it is because I tell you now, he is one of the toughest I have played against. He is top. Just a street footballer on the pitch. He takes the ball anywhere, little flicks and tricks."
