Saudi Arabia's most successful team want Jose Mourinho — details revealed

Saudi Pro League set out the pursue big football names in a bid to grow in prominence. Just as they target superstar footballers, they are looking to attract big names to coach those.

French website Foot Mercato exclusively reports that Jose Mourinho is next in line for a Saud job. He is wanted by Al Hilal, the county's most successful club.

Al Hilal had a season to forget as they only finished third the past campaign, 13 points off the top spot. They are currently managed by Ramon Diaz who previously worked with River Plate, Botafogo and a bunch of other clubs in Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. He's no Mourinho, that's for sure.

Next week, Al Hilal's owner Fahad bin Nafel and Mourinho are set to meet in London. The club want to offer a contract for a few years and a crazy salary, although the amount is not specified.

Al Hilal is the club that wanted to get Leo Messi before he chose to go to Inter Miami. They are yet to have their superstar after seeing Cristiano Ronaldo go to Al Nassr and Karim Benzema to Al Ittihad. As it stands, Luka Modric could be their next target.

Mourinho is set to enter the final year of his AS Roma contract. He has repeatedly indicated his desire to stay on but he 'deserves' more.
