Georginio Wijnaldum may be the first player who made it difficult to secure a deal with the Saudi Arabia club due to his high wage demands. After returning from his stint at AS Roma Wijnaldum has been linked with a transfer to various clubs.
According to reports, there is a possibility of Wijnaldum joining a team in the Saudi Pro League. However, it is noted that he is demanding a salary much higher than his current earnings at PSG, which stands at £8.5 million per year.
Eredivisie clubs Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven have shown interest in the Dutch midfielder. Wijnaldum himself addressed these rumours while on international duty with the Netherlands, stating that he is keeping all his options open this summer.
However, he made it clear that a return to the Netherlands is not his primary choice at the moment.
