La Liga club booted out of Europe next season because of what happened in 2013

Osasuna managed to qualify for the Europa Conference League 2023/24 by finishing seventh in La Liga last season.

However, they have been banned from participating following an internal investigation by UEFA.

The footballing body investigated Osasuna's link with match-fixing about a decade ago.

Back in January, several members of Osasuna's previous board were convicted of 'misappropriation, accounting crime, falsification of documents and sports corruption'.

Osasuna are set to make an appeal against the ban, reports Football Espana. If the decision is upheld, Athletic Club are on standby to replace them after finishing eighth.
