In Cristiano Ronaldo's first pre-season friendly this summer with Al Nassr, things didn't go as planned. They faced Celta Vigo on Monday night and ended up losing heavily with a score of 5-0.
Ronaldo played for 45 minutes in the match, and it was also the debut game for Marcelo Brozovic, who joined the Saudi Pro League team. The first half was goalless, but everything changed after the break when Celta Vigo scored one after another, and Al Nassr couldn't keep up.
Angel Di Maria scored first for Benfica, and then Goncalo Ramos, scored two more goals, making it 3-0 for Benfica. Al Nassr managed to get a goal back when Khalid Al Ghannam scored just before half-time.
But in the 68th minute, Andreas Schjelderup scored a goal that dashed the hopes of the Saudi Arabian club for a comeback. During the match against Benfica, Cristiano Ronaldo had a chance to help his team, but he missed a great opportunity.
He tried to score with a chip shot, but the ball went way too high, dashing Al Nassr's hopes of a possibly impressive goal.
