PL voice concerns over £30m fee for Saint-Maximin from Saudi Arabia

Several Premier League clubs are planning to contact the league authorities to express their concerns over Allan Saint-Maximin's proposed move from Newcastle United to Al Ahli, David Ornstein reports.

The concerns stem from allegations of a potentially inflated transfer fee, given that both Newcastle and the Saudi side are under the ownership of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF).

These clubs are raising questions about how market values are determined, particularly in the case of Saint-Maximin, and whether the transfer fee is being used as a means to inject capital into Newcastle to comply with financial fair play regulations. They seek an official explanation from the Premier League on this matter.

Newcastle United, for their part, are reportedly unfazed by the valuation set for the 26-year-old winger and is comfortable with the proposed transfer fee of £30m.
