The EURO 2024 qualifier between Belgium and Sweden was suspended at half-time following the killing of two Swedes in central Brussels.
Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, reacted to this on X: 'I've just held talks with Prime Minister [of Belgium] Alexander De Croo and offered my condolences and solidarity of the French people in this terrible moment for Brussels.
"Our thoughts are with the victims of this cowardly attack, as well as with our Belgian and Swedish friends: we share your shock."
