Cesc Fabregas sacks himself from Como

Cesc Fabregas took charge as a sort of temporary coach for Como. But even though he did a good job leading the team, he realized he didn't have the right coaching papers. So, he's stepping aside to let someone with the proper qualifications take over.

He got into this role at Como in Serie B after the previous coach got sacked. Fabregas won three out of five matches while also studying to become a certified coach. But now, his short time as manager at Como, which he co-owns with Thierry Henry, is over.

Since he doesn't have the required coaching badges yet, Fabregas has decided to bring in someone who does. The club has brought in Osian Roberts, who used to work as Patrick Vieira's assistant at Crystal Palace. Roberts will take over until the end of the season, with Fabregas supporting him.

Quoted by the Daily Star, Fabregas said: "We are thrilled to welcome Osian Roberts to our football family. With his exceptional track record in developing players and coaches, we envision Roberts as a long-term architect of success across all age groups and levels."

"We believe that with this appointment we have the right experience to create the blueprint for the ambitious Como playing vision. Together, we embark on a new era of footballing success."

Como are owned by the Indonesian Djarum Group. They purchased the club four years ago in an auction after the previous owners went bankrupt. Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas are both minority owners of Como.
